We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Process Engineer to take on the role of Discipline Lead in our projects. This position is well suited for someone with extensive experience from complex marine and offshore, and who is comfortable combining technical authority, project execution, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
· Discipline Lead responsibility for process engineering activities in projects, including process design, simulations, system development, and process safety evaluations
Act as technical authority and coordinator for process design, process calculations, simulations, documentation, and engineering deliverables
Serve as the technical focal point towards clients, shipyards, licensors, and project partners
Lead, participate and contribute to the development of process simulation, fluid dynamic calculations, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Heat & Material Balances, Cause & Effect Charts, and Process Design documents
Planning and participation of Design Reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Assessments, and Process Safety Reviews
Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, industry standards, and project specifications
Contribute to concept development, FEED studies, EPC project execution, and tender activities
Work closely with marine, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural, and project management disciplines
Qualifications:
· BSc or MSc in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Energy Engineering, or equivalent
Typically, 10–15+ years of relevant experience within process engineering for marine, offshore, energy, or industrial projects
Proven experience as Discipline Lead or Senior Process Engineer in multidisciplinary projects
Strong understanding of process design, system integration, process safety, and engineering interfaces
Practical experience with HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, and other risk-based engineering studies
Experience with industry-standard software such as Aspen HYSYS, UniSim Design, or equivalent process simulation tools
Experience from topside process systems and topside-marine interfaces is considered highly beneficial
Experience with LNG, LPG, LCO₂, gas processing, carbon capture, or related energy systems is considered an advantage
Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage)
