We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Process Engineer to take on the role of Discipline Lead in our projects. This position is well suited for someone with extensive experience from complex marine and offshore, and who is comfortable combining technical authority, project execution, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Discipline Lead responsibility for process engineering activities in projects, including process design, simulations, system development, and process safety evaluations

  • Act as technical authority and coordinator for process design, process calculations, simulations, documentation, and engineering deliverables

  • Serve as the technical focal point towards clients, shipyards, licensors, and project partners

  • Lead, participate and contribute to the development of process simulation, fluid dynamic calculations, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Heat & Material Balances, Cause & Effect Charts, and Process Design documents

  • Planning and participation of Design Reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL Assessments, and Process Safety Reviews

  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, industry standards, and project specifications

  • Contribute to concept development, FEED studies, EPC project execution, and tender activities

  • Work closely with marine, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, structural, and project management disciplines

 

Qualifications:

·         BSc or MSc in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Energy Engineering, or equivalent

  • Typically, 10–15+ years of relevant experience within process engineering for marine, offshore, energy, or industrial projects

  • Proven experience as Discipline Lead or Senior Process Engineer in multidisciplinary projects

  • Strong understanding of process design, system integration, process safety, and engineering interfaces

  • Practical experience with HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, and other risk-based engineering studies

  • Experience with industry-standard software such as Aspen HYSYS, UniSim Design, or equivalent process simulation tools

  • Experience from topside process systems and topside-marine interfaces is considered highly beneficial

  • Experience with LNG, LPG, LCO₂, gas processing, carbon capture, or related energy systems is considered an advantage

  • Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage)

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Marine Systems Engineer to take on the role of Discipline Lead in our projects. This position is well suited for someone with extensive experience from FLNG, FPSO, offshore installations, and other complex marine units, and who is comfortable combining technical authority, engineering execution, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Discipline Lead responsibility for marine and topside utility systems in projects, including ballast, bilge, firewater, seawater, cooling media, fuel, drains, compressed air, potable water, utility systems, and topside utility systems

  • Act as technical authority and coordinator for marine systems design, calculations, documentation, and engineering deliverables

  • Serve as the technical focal point towards clients, shipyards, classification societies, vendors, and project partners

  • Develop and review Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), System Design Basis documents, System Specifications, Equipment Specifications, and Calculation Reports

  • Perform and verify hydraulic calculations, pressure drop analyses, pipe sizing, equipment sizing, pump calculations, flow capacity assessments, and system performance evaluations

  • Develop technical specifications and procurement documentation for pumps, filters, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other marine utility equipment

  • Ensure integration and coordination between marine systems, topside process systems, hull systems, and package vendors

  • Participate in Design Reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, Constructability Reviews, and Technical Workshops

  • Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and standards (ABS, DNV, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, Flag State, and project requirements)

  • Contribute to concept development, FEED studies, EPC project execution, and tender activities

  • Support vendor follow-up, package integration, commissioning, and offshore execution activities

 

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or equivalent

  • Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience within marine and offshore system design

  • Proven experience as Discipline Lead or Senior Marine Systems Engineer in multidisciplinary projects

  • Strong understanding of marine utility systems, topside support systems, process interfaces, and system integration

  • Experience with the development of UFDs, P&IDs, System Specifications, Equipment Specifications, and Engineering Reports

  • Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pressure loss calculations, pump system design, and utility system performance analysis

  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, and PipeNet or similar engineering tools

  • Experience with equipment sizing and specifications for pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks, filters, and marine utility equipment

  • Experience with topside utility systems and marine-process interfaces on FPSOs, FLNGs, offshore platforms, or other complex marine facilities

  • Knowledge of classification society requirements and offshore regulations, including ABS, DNV, IMO, SOLAS, and MARPOL

  • Experience from FLNG, FPSO, or other offshore production facilities is highly beneficial

  • Practical experience with HAZOP, HAZID, and multidisciplinary design reviews

  • Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage)
