We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Marine Systems Engineer to take on the role of Discipline Lead in our projects. This position is well suited for someone with extensive experience from complex marine and offshore projects, and who is comfortable combining technical authority, project execution, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Discipline Lead responsibility for marine and topside utility systems in projects (e.g. ballast, bilge, firewater, seawater, utilities and topside support systems)
Act as technical authority and coordination for marine systems design, analyses, documentation, and system deliveries
Serve as the technical focal point towards clients, shipyards, and partners
Planning and facilitation of Design Reviews, HAZID and HAZOP.
Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and standards (DNV, ABS, IMO, Flag State, etc.)
Contribute to concept development, FEED, EPC project execution, and tender work
Close cooperation with other engineering disciplines and project management
Qualifications:
BSc or MSc in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Technology, or equivalent
Typically 10–15+ years of relevant experience within marine/offshore systems engineering
Proven experience as Discipline Lead or Senior Engineer in multidisciplinary projects
Strong understanding of system design, interfaces, and integration
Practical experience with HAZOP / HAZID studies
Good knowledge of applicable class and regulatory requirements
Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage)
